Thanks im thinking at the moment of keeping him for an indoor cat, but just incase i wanted to have him introduced to the collar as i could always take it off if i decided to keep him in whereas the older he gets the more reluctant he may be to having one on if i decide to let him out. Thats my next step... The harness, I want to at first keep him on a harness and take him in the garden for a few months and hope that if i do let him out, with him only venturing to the garden... he may stay within the garden.

I guess ill just have to stick it on one day and hope he forgets about it
