Re: Insurance..
I'll get a right rocket for this post. None of my pets have been insured.
All my pets (dogs and cats) have never really had any problems. The odd course of antibiotics which I can count on one hand.
I choose the type of annual vaccine for my pets. ie Jasper we knocked off the cat leukemia vaccine, due to his age and the high risk.
I have paid for all their treatments and can honestly say the most expensive time in my pets lives have been during their twilight years and insurances tend to pull the plug for long term illnesses/treatments.
A prime example is Jasper our cat died on 25 April 2008 he was 14, I paid for him to be neutered, his annual jabs, frontline, worming pips, a course of antibiotic when he got cat influenza that then became part of his annual innoculations, arthritis treatment which turned out to be a soft tissue injury and unfortunately the ending which was due to a large tumour that was discovered too late.
