Iams isn't a good food either. If you feed a good quality food like Orijen you won't need to give any supplements.

If he's getting a good diet it may help with the problem but Hill's isn't going to be any good for his overall health long term even if it helps with his nose problem.

I would put him on a good quality food and try E45, sudocream or udder cream on the nose as suggested by our resident dog guru.
