I think they're great for both dog and owner, really helped my pups confidence and mine (as he is my first dog).

Just make sure you find a good school, I used royvon I think they have a few centres in the uk. They have proper facitlies with indor and outdoor trainning areas, I wouldn't recommed a school that meets in a village hall.
