I agree with everything said actually. Definately if the dogs here stuff going on outside they will naturally bark to alert everyone. I bet your neighbhour wouldn't mind them barking if you lived in a high crime area
In fact an old saying is "its pointless to keep a dog and bark yourself". My next door neighbour makes more noise correcting his dog than his fdog makes in the first place

I have checked out the device recomended and it is suitable for indoors and oudoors and can be used in your own garden. I am seriously thinking of trying it out myself for my 3 mutts
Hopefully its ok for birds though as l'd hate to think they 'd be freaked out by it and move out of the garden or worse die.
