Re: How much chocolate is dangerouos - useful information
My dog broke into my spare room just before xmas and i had all xmas prezzies on the bed. He ate 3 choc santas and 5 boxes maltesers. when i got in he was shaking and crying and vomited. Rang the vet soon as i saw the choc wrappers wen i got in who told me to rush in as an emergency. I really thought he was going to die. It was absolutely horriffic. Vets injected him to make him sick and thankfully he must have eaten it recently because the vet could tell which was choc santa and which was maltesers and they got loads up. He stayed in for a bit for monitoring. Then he came home with a sachet of hydration salts and loads of water.
anyway he was fine. But it was the worst moment ever, i'm obsessed with my dog! And i knew already they shouldnt eat choc. From then on we dont leave choc anywhere in the house in case he breaks in! From seeing him so poorly. I hope everyone else hides their choc too even in rooms you dont think your dog can get in!
By the way it didnt put him off trying to get back in there!
