My neighbour's dog was really noisy, barking all the time, so in the end I got fed up and bought this device off the internet that sits on my fence and actually stops them barking. There are other products though that are suitable for use on your own dog, like anti-bark collars, you could give them a try, put them on your dog while you're out and take them off when you get home as it sounds like they are quiet enough when you're home.
