I've used a 55L for my first Beardie. And it was a perfect tank size for his entire lifespan.
He's still alive, but I sold him, before him and another female had offspringed. I now have a huge tank, with one juvenile Male Beardie. And he's calm, and happy in his new environment.

Think before buying many of these beatiful creatures.
