That is why we decided to feed organically reared local meat and we go to the farm to buy it ourselves and see all the happy chickens out in the green fields. We also use a local farmer who hunts wild game animals (rabbits, pigeon, venison, etc). Although the organic chickens are more expensive than shop bought ones, the meat we get from the farmer is much cheaper as he will save us the animals that we can't sell, such as if the bird has been damaged whilst landing or if the rabbits are not big enough to sell at market, etc.
