How old was the baby when he was vaccinated? I had a tonkinese kittens vaccinated at 7 weeks that had his immune systems wiped out as a result of the needles. He died at the age of 8 months. I believe that the vaccinations being given too early can sometimes cause kittens to be ill. A human doctor friend bought a couple of tonkinese kittens a few years ago. The vet gave them their leukemia shot...they both developed leukemia and died. We bought a rottweiler puppy from a registered breeder this past summer. She does not believe in vaccinations, but we did vaccinate the pup at the age of 6 months. Did you mention if the vaccines could be the problem to the vet? I believe that you should take the baby back to the breeder and have it returned to you when it hopefully recovers. I know how you feel....I spent $1500.00 on that tonkinese baby and still lost him.
