Yes the trouble is the special veterinary diets are quite expensive and are not available in retail pet shops, but i bought a few from ebay, on the website you normally have to buy them by the dozen, could you not by a tin or pouch of renal diet from your vet, i don't know why they did not suggest it,as it is easier for the kidneys to process
