As someone involved in rescue, I can only tell you that unless you have this cat specifically for breeding purposes, for a housepet spaying is always the best option. Several of those reasons have already been pointed out.
A frequent misconception is that it is better to let them have a litter first. According to the SPCA, medical evidence shows that females spayed before their first heat are typically healthier.
