i am very sorry that the farmer-landlord shot + killed the dam,
but the nearly-white pup was doggone lucky he only plowed
a slug under her skin, vs into her skull!, poor girl.
as for the former-Marine, i hope he is a happy home for the
pups while they train, and that he does let U know how they
do... of course, we would love to know, too!
the meth-makers are low-lifes, and typical that they would
abandon their pets, they are a parody of what HUMAN(e)
ought to be, IMO.
i hope the cops track em down, charge + convict...
maybe even on animal-abandonment.
on an entirely diff-subject - the PUPS -

the 2 red-brindles look pretty good -
both liver-and-white pups are very potty, + the M liver-pied
is quite fearful, which does not bode well for his future as a
public-service SD or Med-Alert. i hope his new trainer is
dog-savvy, and can specifically address his anxiety before
he gets much older!
primary-socialization ends around 12-WO, and the period
between that + secondary-fear period (~ 5 to 6-MO) is
more work in, and less pos-change in the pup.
after 6-MO, it is 3-times the work + 1/3 the results,
in comparison to an under-3-MO pup... WAY harder.
the sooner he addresses the fears, the better!
