Do you know anything about the cats history? ie if she has been wormed? had her vaccinations? etc .... and ditto the advice about keeping her in for as long as possible really until she is used to it.

You will have to think of what food to give her to, I always leave dry biscuits down all day as well as feeding a pouch in the morning & evening.
