to be honest, we have the dogs at the back of the house, and they are not allowed in the loung/dining room/bedrooms, but do have access to conservatory/office/kitchen area, so when we have guest they dont have to sit on sofas covered in hairs, they dont have the dogs jumping up or bothering them. if they want to meet my dogs then I will take them through to the back of the house and let them meet them, we used to have clients come to our home when we had our own business, and we felt that some people may take umbrage at having dog hairs on their suits lol, if on the other hand the people are "dog people" ie MY friends and not hubbys then they come into the back of the house and get covered in hair lol
