sounds as tho, so long as the dogs are reasonably well-behaved, most folks would at least let them say hi - or have them stay in the party.

i do keep a sharp eye on kids, if the party includes children under 10 to 12-YO; they can do things that *their* dog is accustomed to, and tolerates, which would be a shock to a strange dog, even a friendly one. ;--)

my party-loving friend with a Sheltie bitch constantly has to monitor her dog re her guests, as she will surreptitiously gather them all the while, LOL - everyone ends up in a knot in the garden, standing + chatting, or clustered in the living-room, and wondering how they got there!
