I have had one of these but though they are handy to have in-the girl that we tried with it was in no way any happier about this-so though at my own risk-and it is with Rosie
I found it much easier to not let her see me approach any form of tablet tub/packet and then scruff her neck,gently tilt her head and push into the middle of her teeth-as far near the back of her mouth as i can and rub her throat-whilst praising and thanking her for not chomping my hand off
Smooth-i know
Fortunately this technique hasn't been needed often-for which i am both grateful and relieved-be slightly easier trying to retrieve raw steak from a hungry rottweiler
Have to say Phil and Sarah though it's sad that this issue happened to your cats-it's been a learning curb for me and interesting too,so thanks for posting this topic and the details
