I rotate wormers as they all kill certain species that others don't (eg Panacur kills giardia and others don't). Milbemax is an excellent all-round wormer, I tend to use that if I suspect infestation. Prevention wise it's a round of Panacur, Drontal+ and Milbemax. This also helps prevent immunity (a great many worms are immune to Panacur now).
My dogs work around farms and stock, and kill a lot of vermin (they're working terriers) though, so I do have to be extra vigilant for things like this.
