I've been having exactly the same thoughts the last few weeks- I'm thinking of putting up the decorations on Christmas Eve & taking them down again on Boxing Day  . On Christmas Day all the animals get a special dinner, the cats generally get the meat & gravy only though as they won't eat the rest
