Phil is on a distinguished road
Smile Re: My cat's gone blind :-(

Hi sarapadgett20, from what I have read there is a link between Hypertension (high blood pressure) and Hyperthyroidism. Seargy was a nightmare to give tablets to initially but we then heard about a pill giver which basically costs about £2 and is the best thing your money will buy not only for less stress for your cat but also to save your hands from being scracthed to bits! Its basically a specialised syringe with a little claw on the end for the tablet. You put the tablet on the end and put it right into the corner of your cats mouth. Push the syringe and the cat gets a small dose of water and the tablet goes down...priceless! She is on 1x5mg of felimazole in the morning and 1x2.5mg felimazole at night and we now have very few problems. When seargy wasn't eating at first we swapped the water for cat milk to get some vitamins etc into her and gave her a couple of syringefuls (but gave it her slowly). I hope this helps and good luck and remember NEVER give up no matter how bleak things look!
