The mongolian gerbil that we keep as pets are not from Africa but some of their gerbil cousins are.
I keep and breed gerbils as pets so i wouldn't be able to feed him a gerbil.

He's going into shed now anyway so i'm going to wait unti he's finished shedding before i try him on another rat.
