I dont think its silly at all.. Its better than naming the cat a stupid name for example, Mrs princess.. or mini or patch or socks.
You wouldnt want to stand at your door shouting " SOCKS or MR TWINKLES "
your neighbours will think your mad.
Personally i dont care what people name there cats. but id rather name them human names because theyre part of your family and not silly.
