Seeing people picking up their dogs like you do only reinforce their sense of status, not to mention how your attitude is damaging to your own dogs confidence and how it would wind any dog to jump up.
How the hell do you know aggression from excitement anyway?

Stop putting a breed down because it is fashionable to do so.

Elvis is a clever little boy and I am so proud of the original poster for letting him be a dog again, the fact that he has recovered his spirit so fast is credit to his family and the great way he has been raised, like a dog and not a handbag! They are real troopers and it shows in their dog confidence.

I am made up with the outcome of such an ordeal.
that's so rude. staffies can be a problem, and aggressive staffies are common. if the dog needs to be picked up out of harms way, then good on the owner for thinking about their dog's well being. Staffies can be very strong when just playing and can be too much for small dogs, which can be hurt by a staffie's overexcitement. This is why I don't let my dog play with any staffie, as aggression or over excitement is best avoided with this breed.
