Re: Giving cats human names - silly or not?
My cats are called Audrey and Margot. If you met Audrey you'd know why, she just looks like an Audrey! My dog's also called Victor.
SAying that, Margot is most universally referred to as Moomin, Victor is quite often called Features (cos we called him Dog Features for a while) and Little V. Audrey is mostly called The Bean, but she's answers to Audrey. The other 2 cats I had were called Phillip and Richard.
In fact, my parents cats are called Eddie, Patsy and Stransky and my in-laws cats are called Nellie and Maisie, so we don't have cutesy 'pet' names for any of them really (Stransky was named after Joel Stransky, a rugby player). My childhood dog was called Flo (Florence).
We usually joke that our first born child will be called Tiddles or Fluffy!
