I would do some serious research on the breed. I know that you have a cross but you will never know which traits will come forward. I own 2 huskies and let my boys off every time we went to the field. I always said their recall was fantastic - but one day something caught their eye and they were gone they ran for ages to a main road i had to get passers by to stop traffic so they didn't get run over.
Now, I have bought a pawtrekker scooter and run them on this and have extending leads - this is more than enough for them and they both love it
I've heard far too many sad stories of other husky owners loosing their loved ones because they thought they'd be ok - they are not like any other breed. If you don't take any other advice on here please take this - Please please read up on the breed and see for yourself that a reliable recall is never quite good enough for this hard to manage breed xxx
