MY dog is a husky, and the OPs dogs is a cross of this breed, which is bred for all of the above. I know why a husky is bred, and how close it still is in every way to the huskies bred by the tribes who used them.

a husky is NOT an offlead dog. end of. if you are telling me that im neglecting my dog of something and that she should be offlead, i will send you the vet bills when she is hit by a car, a train or another speeding vehicle.
NO I do not own and have never owned a husky. I merely stated that when a dog CAN be let off lead -and only when a dog CAN be let off lead- it is a pity not to. I said I have been lukcy that I have been able to do so with my dogs, which automatically implies that i realise not every dog is cut out for this. I will also say however, that the fact that this dog is ahusky cross does not mean taht it is impossible it will have good recall. I am not saying whether it SHOULD or SHOULD NOT be let off lead, I was simply stating my opinion that off-lead is a different experience to a line, howvere long, and to jogging by a bike etc etc.
