I currently have two pet Axolotls and although I find them quite strange, I find them quite interesting. This year I decided to breed my Axolotls so I researched on their breeding and found that if you lower their water temperature it can cause them to breed as this occurs in the wild when mountain ice melts and enters the lake which they inhabit below. To my surprise... after a few weeks of adding ice to my Axolotl's tank I found a huge amount of little white eggs all over the aquarium plants!
I removed these eggs and hatched them accordingly. They were required to be housed seperatly as they can bite each other which may cause them to lose limbs or external gills!
I was just wondering if anyone else kept these aaxolotl's, or if you don't...I hope you can find my little factsheet on them quite interesting. Not many people I come accross understand what axolotls are. So I thought it would be good for me to be informative
