Normal behaviour for a five month old cat?

Hello all, you were so helpful before, can you do it again??

My five month old cat/kitten has a very insistent habit of climbing up on my chest, putting his paws round my neck and tucking his head under my chin, then intensely kneading, dribbling on my neck, and purring VERY loudly! I honestly think he would do it all day if I let him.

I know cats knead and purr when they are happy (after the start in lfe he had, I'm really pleased he's so happy with me) but is this normal? I don't want to push him off all the time, but I'm a bit concerned he does it so much.

I read somewhere that dribbling shows how happy they are, somewhere else that it means he was taken away from his mum too soon...

I'd welcome your views and advice.
