Could anyone tell me if this is inbred in JR's.

My last little JR/Dacshound. had the same problem.
She was a rescue dog,and we were only privalleged to have her in our life for 3yrs, before we lost her in march with a brain haemmorhage. this we put down to the problem of car sickness with her too.

Is this a coincidence, or is it inherant?
I have three terriers and if they travel in a cage are often sick but not if they have free range of the truck.

Ginger is very good for travel sickness and i give them a couple of ginger biscuits, normally prevents any sickness
