I have two standard domestic shorthair boys of no breed that are perfectly happy indoors... it is more their upbringing than their breed I think... though some cats no matter how they are raised or no matter what the breed will want out.

Would you consider a disabled cat? rescues often have a hard time homing a cat that has a disability that requires an indoor only home?

Other than that, go for what you really like... just make sure they have plenty of toys, places to hide and climb and lots and lots of stimulation.

You can also harness train and take kitty for walks to get fresh air and natural light it you want to!
