Hello Chris and welcome to the forum.
Have you thought about maybe a slightly older cat that has been brought up as an indoor cat only ?.I ask this as our cat shows no interest in going outside at all(she is a BSH),in fact she is to scared due to her past.
If you ask at local adoption centres I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
