As the weather is getting colder, and firework season is upon us (until at least january after the new year revels), i really wouldnt let him out.
If your set on letting him out, then at least wait until spring, when the days are longer (he's more likely to be seen crossing a road as the sun is brighter).
The weather will be warmer too, so if he does end up inadvertantly getting shut in somewhere, his chances of survival go up due to the warmer nights.
On another hand... bengals arent cheap, and i know its never about the money... but are you really happy with £500 + running round the neighbourhood unattended. Would you leave £500 on the doorstep?
There are risks, even with neutered males.
Fights with neighbouring cats
road accidents
dog attacks
shot by yobs with air rifles
neighbours complaining about poo in the gardens
higher risk of disease and infection
risk of theft
getting shut in and starving
those are just a few of the risks, and each one needs careful consideration.
