I was horrified yesterday when my friend told me he was angry at his 9 months old because she still peed when they first let her out of her crate!! He was shocked when I said you should never ever ever shout or god forbid punish her for doing this. She is excited to see you and cannot help it, the more you punish the longer she will be doing it as the element of fear will set in.
I had witnessed it once and told them before they pay any attention to her to let her in the garden to relieve herself and never tower over her when they first come home, but they obviously didnt listen.
There is such basic dog psychology we should all know to prevent such hardship during training, I am shocked so many people are so behind with their methods!
