Flagyl (metronidazole) isn't really a good idea - I take it you are thinking in terms of Giardia being a cause of s & d? In which case Panacur is proven to be better at tackling giardia and if used as a normal regular worming routine, will tackle that anyway. Flagyl can cause other issues.

A probiotic such as Pro Kolin is also very helpful, it's available online with no prescription.

Try a large supermarket for chicken wings - Tesco or Asda do them very cheaply. Large packet (a kilo or so) around £2.
