just had a major accident in my house and one of my 4 week old kittens just got squashed under a large piece of wood.... After initially yowling extremely loudly, I think the shock set in and he/she went very still.... Although still breathing and very responsive to the other kittens and mum... I don't hold out much hope... he/she is sleeping in a mass bundle with the other kittens and a hot water bottle...(well warm).....I have left well alone for an hour, and they are all snuggled up together, the kitten has moved (more snuggled in with the others), so perhaps time will tell....

I just feel guilty that I didn't see the potential danger - the board was put up to stop them coming down teh stairs.... I will keep you posted.
