Re: Raw chicken wings

Hi,

I tried my 12 yr old cat on raw chicken wings for the first time yesterday, she was like AN ANIMAL! Course she is a very robust little cat and has fought various bouts of s & d and is always persuaded to eat something. I noticed a difference in her motion immediately, still not right, but better. Also, she is on steroids, but still, after eating the raw meat, she didnt scream for food all day and seemed actually to be contented for the first time in years. She had a good night and did not have any accidents.

The local supermarkets here in Scotland sell the very things cat lovers need i.e. small packets (and large ones) of chicken wings, chicken hearts and livers, scabby looking beef (not prime meat) and all of these things the top cat advisers have said are good for your cat.

Also, try getting some antibiotics (Flagyl) from your vet and a week's worth of steroids (Prednisolone 1mg) - thereafter a good probiotic, either from the vet (costs an arm and leg) or buy simple Slippery Elm (Native American gut clamer) and smear a small amount on the meat.

Best of luck

Sarah (for Popsie) p.s. Popsie is short for Popsicle
