Re: Cats going out in a Fox area?

A few years ago one very frosty night, i looked out of my window and there was a fox coming towards our house and my cat was sitting on the pavement watching the fox.
I called her and the little rascal looked at me and stuck her nose is the air and ignored me. I called her again and still had no response.
However the fox who was a a beauty just walked passed her and never looked at her and walked up towards me at the front door. He even put his head to one side like dogs do. I thought he might be hungry so i went inside and put some cat food in a bowl, by the time i got back he had gone. So i called "Foxy" and within a minute he was back tucking into his super. He even had seconds!
He seemed so tame i just sat at the side of him admiring how beautiful he was.
I could of perhaps even stroked him but i didn't.
Even though he was hungry he never bothered with my cat.
The next night i looked out for him but i never saw him again.
The only thing i can think of that his regular feeder had gone out for the night so he thought he would try somewhere else for super.
I just hope he's safe.
