Re: Insurance - good or bad thing???

Hiya

We have 3 dogs and they're all insured. I'm like you a bit iffy on whether the pay up etc.
At the mo we're claiming for our oldest, but because of his age (12) we have to pay the first 35% plus the excess. The claim went in nearly a fortnight ago and they've yet to settle it. We now know the underwriters of this firm are known for being terrible.
If we had a lump sum put away just for dogs (minimum £2000 i'd say) then saved monthly i'd probably not insure all of them, but from the past couple of weeks experience i'd say that £2500 doesn't go far once tests, scans, vet hospital stays etc start.
I'd be frightend not to insure them now.
