It might sound like a dumb question but Im trying to get everything ready before I get another cat and Im a bit rusty in the knowledge department..

I understand the meaning of 'clumping' and 'Non clumping' but which is generally thought of as the better cat litter.

I had a covered litter tray before with a flap for the cat to go in and out and I intend to get that again but I honestly cant remember which litter I got.

Aslo, I have seen those space age type litter boxes that apparantly clean themselves. Are there any reviews on those on this forum or is a simplier litter box the best?
