one of mine always goes in the bathroom and wee's in the corner - and I can't stop her - so I shut the door to stop her going in there
I have also limited where she can go in the rest of the house as I can't trust her to be clean
To be honest I don't think you will ever stop her going on the mat in the hall so i'd just do your best to keep it covered up as best you can
