Re: newfie 19 months, good home only b71
morning nikki, well i spoke to a lovely lady yesterday that breeds newfies, and she was absolutely fantastic, apparently i am not doing owt wrong with him, he is just wanting a woman, and the snap was to tell me that he was not happy with the brushing. apparently using a blower on them to clean them etc is the best thing as they dont take kindly to being brushed...I didnt know that as when i took him to be groomed, they were dragging a brush through him although he didnt look comfortable he didnt take a snap...so a blower it is for him now...she said not to neuter him, it wouldnt make too much of a difference, and as she is a breeder, if I wanted to she would take him off my hands for fostering while i get better, some of the rescues are not reputable either apparently, she did give me the list too, so thank you for that, and a couple she highlighted that tend to just rehome them for the donation, knowing that they will be back soon after, i think this is disgraceful, I know one member thought it wasnt fare that yogi would be rehomed for a third time, but the lady i had him off was going to have him put to sleep, think the rehoming is far more better for him than that, that is why i took him on, and if i can get help with the fostering while i have my hips done then i get to gett him home again, it isnt just as simple as putting up with things when you have to think what is best for your loved pet, I didnt think it would be fare on him having to stay in while i couldnt walk for 6 weeks, that would be sad....lainey
