I have 4 budgies and one of them has been feather picking for 2 years. I have tried everything but nothing works. I let them out all the time. They sit on a perch on top of an open cage and are free to fly in their room. I think that she may have developed it as a habit now because she has been doing it for so long. She has bald spots on her chest and her wings. It really baffled and upset me when I see her doing it but I know that she will never stop now. She is 7 yrs old.
