Me and my boyfriend have just become the owners of a beautiful pair of moggies - a little fluffy ginger boy and a sleek black girl. They seem to be settling in fine - they're bounding around the place, constantly fighting and playing, then crashing out on the sofa - but as a new cat owner, have a couple of questions.

-how strict should you be about amounts? I have been told that cats won't overeat, and kittens should be fed little and often as they have tiny tummies.

- when cleaning their litter today I noticed a bit of fresh blood in their poo - they seem perfectly healthy, bright eyed and lively and weren't having any trouble going to the loo. Could this be because we started feeding them wet kitten food? They hadn't had it before coming to us but they LOVE it, we feed them 1 pouch a day between them and leave them dry biscuits (got told to feed them go-cat as that's what they had been eating) and water down all day as we're both out at work most days.

Anyway, a little concerned about the blood...? I'll keep a close eye on them over the next few days...
