I caught ringworm from my kitten, which at first thought was flea bites until they started getting bigger and itchier (after a couple of weeks looking like circles). Some people are more susceptible to catching it than others and children are particularly vulnerable. My wrists were worst affected. It is treated by over the counter anti-fungal cream.
Kittens can be carriers of this fungul infection, which usually is around their face, head and ears, without showing any signs. I think a trip to the vet is needed for the kittens to be tested.
