How did you respond the first time. I tried to quieten him by going sh sh sh and speaking to him.
How do you respond when he does this now?Still try to quieten him but once he starts barking he doesn't want to stop.
Is he pulling towards the person/dogs, or holding back?pulling towards the person/dog.
Can he be distracted? not really
What motivates him - food or toys?he is motivated more by toys than by food but tried carrying a squeaky ball and distracting him but it hasn't worked so far.
Have you ever tried dropping the lead when he does this? Not tried it as scared he will go for the dog. When he is off the lead has he ever done it?If he is off the lead in the field with other dogs and a dog walks along the pavement, he usually runs over and barks at the fence or goes out and as long as the other dog does not start growling he runs around barking but think its a happy play with me bark
What does he do when he is off the lead and other dogs/people pass?just answered that in the last question.
Sorry, to ask so many things, but it could be a huge number of things!
