The Independents are usually not a problem for measuring on the day, so if it`s a non-KC show you are going to you don`t need to worry, but if it`s KC you could have a problem - if the measuring session is being done during lunchtime [ for instance ] but your class/es are in the morning you would not be able to run [ if the classes are completed before the measuring session starts ].
Measuring for KC is a big bug-bear, it`s just not organised enough, [ not the measurer`s fault, they are all volunteers ], but before it was implemented the powers-that-be should have ensured there were enough volunteers available for all areas of the UK, and that there were enough shows willing to allow measuring [ some don`t, goodness knows why ].
Some clubs do arrange sessions where the measurer`s go to the club so it`s worth asking around in your area if any are planned, non-members are usually welcome`d for measuring sessions at most clubs.
