I agree that glass tanks and sweet jars are a really bad idea. I think they were used when there weren't better alternatives available. I've kept leaf insects successfully in the Bug Studio Professional; it's light and easy to move and you can take the leaf insects out to fly during the day. The Bug Studio Professionals were selling for £20 at the insect show at Kempton Park the other weekend. The clear see-through sides means that you can see the leaf insects much better than you can in one of those black netting enclosures.
