I'd be inteststed to know what medication he's on if possible for future reference. From doing loads of research when Missie was alive, speaking to various vets and speaking to a surgeon in America that has carried out canine kidney replacement operations, I was led to believe it is a terminal condition. The only possible 'cure' is a kidney replacement which aren't available in this country.

As far as I'm aware there is no actual treatment for renal failure, just supportive and preventative measures for the rest of the body if caught in time. If there have been some scientific break throughs over the last few years I'd love to be brought up to date please.
