If you stay cool yourself it usually shows confidence that nothing is the matter... if your dog scares easily - say at passing traffic or new things I wouldnt take her out at night at all. You could venture into your garden with her and just not make a fuss... if she ties to run off call her back and act casual - some good praise and no big drama kind of thing. I have been taking my two out as usual -theres only a few going off up here nothing major, im just getting my pup accustomed for the big night, his may work too
