I forgot to come back to this post and let you all know how he got on sorry.
Firstly even though we starved him for 48 hours he still poohed on the way to the vets, and pee'd himself too, what a smelly journey it was, same place as well, meaning same place on the journey not in carrier/car.
Vet gave him his annual boosters and checked his ears, eyes, nose, skin, tummy, weight etcetc and then his mouth, he has gingivitis AGAIN, the vet said that the only way to prevent it is to clean his teeth, but he's NOT going to let us do that so he said that if it gets much worse and he stops eating he'll have to lose his teeth!!! :O you can imagine how shocked I was to find that was what they do.
Hopefully with his dentabits (whiskas teeth cleaners) having 8 a day as it says on the pack, it will take his gingivitis away, so far he's not been put remotely off his biscuits or soft food that we give him as treats though so hopefully we'll avoid the teeth pulling operation. :S
He didn't poop or pee on the way home thankfully and his poop that he DID do on the way was solid so he was only pee stained when he got home, so I let him clean himself up instead of stressing him out further getting him soaked and washing his back legs myself.
Bless him, I'm definitely going to get some feliway and try it, the vet said it works with some cats and with others it does nothing so we just have to try it and see. It saves him getting all worked up, little man was panting like mad by the time we actually got there (it wasn't hot in the car, we had it just right for him, until he pooped then I had to open the window I'm afraid lol)
So there we go, a long winded update
